Scouting

Well, most of you know that I have served in Cub Scouting as the Wolf Den Leader for 4+ years - plus have my own 2 sons in scouting. Anthony, 13 yrs old will be a Life Scout this April, he was also just called as the Senior Patrol Leader of his Unit 531 - so he is now incharge! He he, he's not so sure about that. :) Benjamin, 11 yrs old is still just a scout working on his Tenderfoot Badge. He's only been in big scouts for 2 months now so we will give him a little time yet. (lol)

Anyway, I am now no longer doing Cub Scouts and a part of me is very sad. Not sad at the work and chaos and confusion but sad because I truely love the inspired program of Boy Scouts and have grown to love each group of boys that have come my way. I am thankful to say that some of them seem to even love me => as when they see me they wave, give me hugs, or run up to tell me something new. How blessed I am.

I still am on the Scout Committee and am signing up as a Merit Badge Counselor so I am not done with scouts yet - and probably won't be until the last of my Cubscouts is an Eagle Scout. :) I will see them to the end. Here's some fun Pic's of them.

Welcome Sweet Whoopbag

Today a dear friend from Puzzly Pirates should be logging on to get to know the real me! Scary! LOL. Just wanted to let her know that my prayers and thoughts are with her and even though we have not met in RL, I love her dearly.

Today prayers go out to Heather and Tyler who are both facing physical struggles and for anyone else who is in need of comfort and peace. God Bless.

More Intense

I'm not quite sure how to express it but lately my feelings have run so deep that there is no "clear" way to express them. I try with I love you or with friends who have come to mean so much, huggles. Yet I don't feel that they truely understand what they mean to me. I am so blessed to have friends, family, neighbors and now internet friends that mean so much. I can feel how we touch each other's lives and pray that I am touching for good and not evil. It is amazing to me that others can sense that we are trustworthy without really knowing us and in a sense are putting themselves out there and allowing us to touch them. I have two puzzly pirate friends that I could be a RL mom too, yet these boys talk to me and share with me their troubles, their RL names and yes pic's too. :) I think as we travel through this life we all need someone like that - someone who has blind faith in us, when we don't ourselves. It helps me to have a better sense of truely being a Daughter of God and allowing him to work through me to touch the lives of others.

New First Presidency

Thankfully a friend emailed me and I received it at 11:07 am and flipped the TV on to see the remaining part of the church news conference. Our new Prophet Thomas S Monson has chosen Henry B Eyring to be his 1st Counselor and Diedre Uchedorf (sp?) as 2nd counselor. As the news conference went on and the press asked them questions I couldn't but help smile a tender smile with a warm feeling in my breast. This is the new leadership of the Lord's true church here on the earth and I know that they are called of God. Never doubting the Lord's efficiency or
protective arm over his church and children I am grateful for the Life of Gordon B Hinckley and the wonderful memories I will have of him as the prophet. Including sitting 1 row away from him on a stand in my stake - just he and I and I didn't want to bother him so I didn't go up and shake his hand. I will now live with that decision and have a sad remorse. However, President Monson spoke at my Grandfather's funeral having worked with him as Bishop's in the same stake. He is a wonderful man and the church will continue to florish and blossom if we as Saints will continue to follow our prophet's counsel and the counsel of the prophets before him.

Working on the House

As most of you know, we came home from Disneyland to construction. Hurray! They took down the wall in our living room and gave us a wonderful open space. I don't have construction pic's sorry, we were busy getting ready to go and than having fun at Disneyland. :P However, I am going to try to get pic's added as we complete what needs to be done - texturing, painting, curtains, etc etc etc. Here is how we are currently living - ha ha it's still wonderful! Thank you Dalton Brothers! wahoo!

*What People Don't Know About Me? ok, Em says she forgot one so here it is. I thought I was pretty open so I really don't know, you tell me- ha. Some people don't know that I'm a recovering Perfectionist =D. I'm the world's meanest mom, biggest playful flirt and have a saddistic (sometimes) sense of humor. But, you prolly already knew that. =)
